Brandon and his wife were terrific! I sent my 11 month old cane corso with them for the 2 week board and train and I would do this with every dog I own in the future. The daily photos and videos made us feel like we were along the journey every step of the way. We started dog training classes with Russ at Off Leash K-9 Training in the spring of 2023. We completed the Basic and Advanced Obedience classes. These classes were life-changing for us and our dog, Annie. Annie is a two-year old Border Collie who was so anxious in new settings that we felt like we could never take her anywhere. When we would try to walk her on a leash, she would pull constantly. She would lunge and bark at people and other dogs. At times, she would also have bathroom accidents when meeting new people or going to new places. After each lesson with Russ, we got better at handling Annie and her behavior improved. During one of our later training sessions, Russ even went with us to an outdoor sporting goods store. We were very nervous about this outing, but Russ helped us face this scary event. We were blown away by Annie’s ability to walk beside us with the various distractions of shoppers and carts. Some of the most important things we learned were how to get Annie to stop excessive barking, come when called, and walk in a heel. Knowing these things has allowed us so much freedom. We can take Annie on walks in the neighborhood, and she doesn’t bark at people, strollers, or other animals. She has also stopped lunging and pulling on the leash. We have taken her to home improvement stores and passed calmly by other dogs in the aisles. We even took Annie on a vacation with us to the beach! Prior to training, we were worried that the e-collar could make our Border Collie even more nervous or cause her personality to change in a negative way. This could not be farther from what happened. She is so much more confident and trusting of us in new situations. She often shows how eager she is to put her e-collar on in the morning by stopping by our charging station to sniff or lick at the straps of the collar. I shopped around for training programs to train my 1.5 year old Sheepadoodle, Wally, to be a therapy dog. I work in a mental health clinic and knew I couldn't do all the training from just watching youtube videos. When I first spoke with Laurie at Off Least K9, I immediately felt confident that I found the right place! Not only did they give me all the information and time needed to make the decision for myself, they also wanted to ensure that Wally and I would be a good fit for their program. We did 8 individual training sessions and it has made a world of difference! Wally passed the CGC test with flying colors and has been doing a terrific job when I bring him to my office. The trainer we worked with, Meaghan, is so knowledgeable and truly cares about the success of all her clients. We are very grateful for the people at Off Leash K9 Training. My wife and I worked our 20 month old Labrador through the 8 session Rock Star Program and the results were both quick and impressive. He was a sweet pup but had some serious impulse control issues. We now have the well-mannered companion dog that we were hoping to be able to enjoy off lead. We enrolled Genji our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy in the Board & Train program at Off Leash K9. Christine was Genji's trainer and did a phenomenal job training Genji on obedience. We were updated on a daily basis and saw that Genji was improving early on in his first few days of training. We are pleased with the results when Genji was returned to us. OMG!! What a change!! I can't thank Christine enough for working with Jamie. During our meet/greet Jamie was barking-growling-and lounging towards Christine. She remained calm and let Jamie know that SHE was in charge and not Jamie. I wish I had videoed our first lesson to now our third lesson to show how amazing Off Leash K9 is with training Jamie and us.
